Welcome!
In-service training
Kotka Maritime Center organizes in-service training for the seafaring and harbour sectors in a versatile and modern way. Our training meets the requirements of the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom) and STCW for shipping. We also do international cooperation with educational institutions.
You can find open trainings in our training schedule (in Finnish only).
Simulator Centre
Navigational, engine room, GMDSS liquid cargo and oil collecting simulators are used in the shipping industry. We offer diverse training and internships. We train simulator pilots with a strong understanding, knowledge and skill as well as experience in shipping and seafaring.

Our international educational institution
In addition to operating in Finland, we also co-operate internationally with various educational institutions.
Through Ekami Consulting, KMC is a member of Education Finland and exports education to the East African region and South Africa. In Tanzania, for example, our partners are the Maritime Institute (DMI) in Dar es Salaam and the Institute of Heavy Equipment & Technologies (IHET). Ekami Consulting is a subsidiary of Ekami and provides training and development services to companies and communities.
